I’ve been thinking of the best way to tell you about my new webcam, which arrived on Saturday. I thought I’d let it do the talking, but I can’t get the microphone on it to work. So this was the best I can muster.

Two things about video blogging:
- When I get nervous, I talk with my eyes closed and talk out of the side of my mouth
- That was around take 6 – which was better than I expected, though I did concentrate hard. My arm was hurting (hence the shoddy camerawork).
But yeah, it’s rather odd thing to have on a camera. What do you think?
Also, more videoposts? Less videoposts? Better hair? Speak up people!
Update:
Couple more thoughts:-
- A comment on the Youtube Page suggested (rather mockingly) that it’s “To stop a trojan from being installed”. Of course, it’s not entirely flawless – what if you’re speakers are off – but the best excuse for it yet.
- I think I may do more videoposts – it makes those pesky RSS’ers come to the site and leave a comment!
- God I look ill.

I’ve been meaning to make a video post over the next week or two, I didn’t want my first video appearance online to be a film of me pushing a melon out of my froot loop, so I figure I should break into it slowly first.

So, does the recipient hear the theme music too? Or is is just for your own amusement? If it’s just for you, I imagine it could get old rather fast, but if it acts as your personal “ring” on the other end, that would be fun. Can you change your music or is that what you get?
They can hear it through my speakers, that’s all.

I liked your film, except for your arm getting tired and all the shaking that results. I found myself getting dizzy and “motion sick” after a minute or two. Can you perhaps use some kind of tripod?
