Yesterday, after far too long, I decided to get a haircut. I went from this:

To this:

Sexy, n’est pas? It was getting to long that when the barber gave me the typical backhanded compliment of “nice and tidy now”. I know certain people prefer me with long hair, these people lie. I’ve already had a number of compliments from honest to god young nubile ladies, so I have done something right.
An interesting thing I noticed: anybody who has spoken to me in the past few days have heard about the fact that my neck has been sore. Yesterday it was until my haircut, when it got a lot better. Was the weight of my Russell Brand esque do putting undue pressure on my neck? I don’t know, I’m not a doctor.
What I do know is that, now, 24 hours after getting my hair cut, my workmates have still yet to notice.

I swear you’re my cousin. And I swear your name is Michael. Which means you’re a liar Rhys.
…or should I say… Michael.
Mais oui, c’est meilleure. Et je ne suis pas sûr si ma français est bon ou pas; mais c’est pas importante. À la prochaine Rhys.
Rhys, Michael, whatever, the shorter tidier look is much better. You and Guy are honestly secret brothers I swear. He also neglected the barbers for too long!
booo… bring back the long hair I say. although I cut mine recently and people do like it more
are your workmates male? Men are rubbish at noticing things like that?
I hate to say it but I prefer the long hair or maybe it’s just the moody pose you have in that pic.
I hate hairdressers-I get mine cut about once every two years
I think Rhys looks like a serial killer in teh first one…. I’m a little frightened.
I always look like a fucking serial killer!
I need a haircut. Its so much easier and cheaper for blokes. No fair!!!!
Nice move Rhys, I wish my housemate Simon would get a haircut. He’s got REALLY long hair. It’s crap!!
Nice cut! It also reminds me that I should get mine done too *sigh* I hate the fake small talk you have to make at the hairdressers, just cut my hair and let me go damn it!
The hair looks better in the second photo but you (minus hair) look beter in the first!
“honest to god young nubile ladies”
why thank you!
Thats men for you! Although Toby was the first to notice when I dyed my hair – well before the many girlies in my flat!
Looking good stud.
ROONEY, ROONEY!
I liked the long hair more – it fitted my narrow Asian stereotype of what English boys should look like.
But you should have had the same expression in both pics, Rhys. Otherwise, its hard for us to make a fair comparision. It’s like those weight loss ads, where the before pic is always gloomy and in bad lighting and the after, happy and bright.
