I took your advice a couple of months ago and started a blog. It took awhile before people actually started visiting, but in the last couple of days the traffic has been overwhelming. I just need to figure out a way to monetize. I think I’m going to try text-link-ads. Thanks again for the post. I owe you one.

Great tips, – about number 3. Wouldn’t it be better to create a direct advertising page on your site and you take 100% of the revenue?

TLA’s main part is to provide a market place, so if an advertiser finds your site by visiting it independantly of TLA you have every right to not use TLA.

Yeah I’ve given up on AdSense. But TLA won’t re-accept me! I was accepted as MeatPaddy but they’re limiting signups now and I’m still waiting for DoingWord to be approved!

So, Obi-Wan, explain this Alexa thing to me a bit more. I have downloaded the FF Searchbar thingy and it’s sat in the corner telling me how abysmal my Alexa ranking is. Now I just surf my site and it will feed back to Alexa?
