The Porn Phantom, Guestbloggers and The Bank Holiday Weekend
You may have seen the rubbish blogging this past week, for that, I apologise. The Wii Posting Dedication Award (thanks A.T.) can only do so much. In short, my computer is screwed, even more screwed than when it was supposedly fixed, even more screwed when it was previously screwed before. I suspect it’s a hard drive failure. Luckily, I manage to resurrect it briefly to get the most important of my e-mails off, as well as back them up onto my second hard drive. I’m taking the plunge, and taking it to the computer shop, and braving the Porn Phantom.
The Porn Phantom is an evil, evil creature, and to know the Porn Phantom is to fear the Porn Phantom. The Porn Phantom haunts all men, especially those with broken computers. The Porn Phantom strikes between when you drop your computer off at the repair shop and when the techybods fix your computer. When you are not looking, it installs porn on your computer, causing much embarrassment.
It’s evil, I tell you.
Right, in other news, I have decided I’m doing the wrong thing with the guestbloggers, I’ve got a couple of ace bloggers to do a guestblog over my trip away, but not quite enough. As a result, if you do want to write one (I’m definitely doing a revenue share, as you can see from the new Adsense placement), you can sign up at http://www.gospelrhys.co.uk/wp-admin. Right, finally, it’s the Bank Holiday Weekend in the UK, so chances are I won’t be around on Monday to make a post. I’ll make Tuesday’s post extra special to make up for it! I’m going to see The Mighty Seagulls vs. The Fantastically Named Shepshed Dynamo, and will try and put half my room on eBay. I’m sure a few drinks will be had.

I’m sorry your computer boniked on you! (Nightmare flashes in my mind). I don’t think you should worry about porn on your computer as these days unfortunately it is common in our cache these days.

That whole porn phatom thing felt very much like a Geoff (Coupling) speech but with “Giggeloop” (or one of his others) simply replaced by “Porn phantom”. I call plagarism on your ass!
I keep all my porn on an external hard drive. Saves embarrassment in such unfortunate events
Although, if you happen to lose your collection I could probably send over a disc or ten.
Ha, so *that* is the Porn Phantom. I can see how that would be embarrassing for many a man. If ever such a thing happened to me, and required me to take my comp to the shop, I imagine I’d have a bit of a different scenario. “What? Porn?! Oh… of, of me you say? Umm, must’ve been the Porn Phantom! Yes, that’s it! That fiend installed a voyeur cam, dirty bastard…” Still wouldn’t explain why I’m posing though. >.
