I couldn’t agree with you more. It is truly ashame no other countries are able to field a competetive team so that the NFL could truly be a world sport.

You guys keep practicing with the rugby and soccer and one day you might be ready for the real thing

firstly- i believe that “world sporting tournament” has to include more that one country so i’m afraid the the “made-in, played-in ” NFL has to remain a sort of provincial thing for the moment (i may be off the mark here, but it’s my opinion). besides we don’t really go for all the crotch-crunching-dressup-shoulder-pads and helmet, make up under the eyes and all that.

secondly, going into week thre of rwc 2007, i think that celeste may have got it spot on with her springbok prediction.

Great post, I just got back to the UK from the All Blacks opening game in Marseille, was amazing. I feel the need to point out a small error, NZ haven’t won since the 1st World Cup in 1987, in 1991 they lost to aussie in the semi. This time though…it’s got to happen. I have tickets to see Fiji and Canada in Cardiff, but I don’t think I can make it over, so I am a bit gutted about that…but the next game I am off to is Scotland v Ab’s in a few weeks. Cheers for the article.

The US gave England a tough match today. They still won’t win the World Cup – they are effectively just very well trained amateurs – but they certainly aren’t 5000/1 shots given that England’s win over them today was not the most convincing.
