Glad to see you’ve been bitten by the travel bug! Hopefully this new, confident you will give tours the kick in the arse they deserve and instead head out on your own for a bit of exploring. Contiki is a drunken shagfest with a bit of travelling in between. It’s great though if that’s what you’re after and especially if you’re a first time solo traveller.

Glad to see you carrying on what was no doubt an Aussie filled trip with a stop at the Walkie!

Yep, Contiki is definitely on the cards for my euro tour. Sounds like you had an amazing time!

Hating Rome in a whirlwind visit is probably just a tad rough, not that I’ve ever been. Contiki seems to me like a quick (and often drunken) pass through some of Europe’s greatest cities to give you a quick taste, so that you can go back later on and explore the cities in greater detail.
Is it still true that once you’ve been on a Contiki you can get free lifts on the bus from city to city when you’re on your own personal journey?
