…good thing the rest of the two weeks was life changingly good. I could bore you with pictures and everything that I’ve done, but I want to show you all just the one picture that made the holiday the best holiday I can ever have.
This was taken over Florence, and shows 51 people who shared the last two weeks with, and have become friends - some of them close friends.
I have been living in a bubble for the last two weeks, and have loved every minute of it. We spent 8 hours on a bus most days travelling, so you have to get to know people. Some of the stuff we came up with to pass time was completely incomprehensible. You just had to be there. And as my Brother says: “If you have to be there, don’t say it.”
Two highlights were Nice, where we spent all day on the beach, and the amazing Oktoberfest which is indescribable (probably because I can’t remember too much of it). We’re going back to the latter next year.
But at the moment I’m skint, and put on about 5 kilos in weight. I’m sure Post Holiday Depression will kick in soon.
I believe I have friends for life all over the world now, and has asked me serious questions with what I want to do with myself and what I want to do with my life. However, that is down the line. At the moment, I am still walking around with a huge smile on my face.
I am the happiest I have been in around a couple of years. Thanks Contiki Guys. You guys rock!
Oh, and I am prepare to divulge **some** information from the holiday (my mum reads this you know), so if anybody wants any questions answered, please leave them in the comments.

Hope the grin stays and the Post Holiday Depression stays away..I always hate that part so much because it hits me really hard.
Can’t wait to hear some of the stuff.
sounds like you had an ace time… I’m jealous
I know the gory details
tehe!
I can’t believe she was a man!!!
Oi bitch give me a bad reputation why don’t you!
Rome isn’t shit! I loved it there.
Anyway like I said to you on Friday over the bottomless tostado chips - proud of ya kiddo.

I’m jealous too. Italy is such a beatifull country. And Florence is just fantastic. Why didn’t you like Rome? Once I did a language course in Nice and accept partying I did not learn much - hehehe
It’s such a good saying that. Well used!
Thanks!
Where are you in the photo? Or are you taking it?
I feel a big arrow is required.
Yes I’m in it. The dome in the background, look for it, go south from it, brown haired black top.
Have you been following the rugby on your travels?
Not really, infact one of my few follies out of my bubble was when Rick rang me to tell me Wales were out. But now I don’t care. Just not the English.
Good stuff Rhys
I’m interested to hear more about Oktoberfest (i.e. what is it, lots of tents with loads of beer? what types of beer? how huge are the glasses you get beer in, did you eat lots of sausages etc etc.). Hopefully the details of that are family friendly!
I will have to post about this shortly!
