I'm glad you got it sorted out, I noticed a night of 50k+ hits to my wp-admin page the other week.... sheee-ite! there's a plugin somewhere that can lock admin down if too many incorrect attempts are made. I see you use akismet, I've been using spamkarma2 for years and I have to moderate a comment maybe twice a week. The rest get binned straight away but I suppose that's the 'barn door after' solution, maybe the javascript thing is better... I wondered where you were!
