Just a word of warning to you, my one hundred million readers.
My computer has broken, and once more I have to face The Porn Phantom once again.
Either way, it’s scuppered beyond buggery, and I’m warning you that – whilst I’ll try and blog the next few days, it could be a bit spasmodic and not open to my usual high standards. I may just stick up some pictures of LOLCats or something.
If there’s any techie out there, could anybody have a look at the next couple of screens to help me? I’d be hugely appreciative.
They occur as the computer boots up. Sometimes it flashes briefly to the windows startup screen, other times it just goes straight to the error. When I switch the computer on, it goes to this screen.
So I reset it, and followed the information on the next screen
As I said, I’d be most appreciative if anybody has any ideas. Luckily I’m going to the pub tonight, so I’m not going to be too bored or anything! I will answer any questions you guys have though.
Thanks!

Ahhh yes, picture #1 is the blue screen of death. You must reboot from there….those codes actually mean something to geeks…..they’re like memory addresses or something.
Wow dude, that sucks! I would flip out for sure,…
their memory errors, do memcheck on your ram, its probably fux0red.
I think the phantom porn on your computer is probably the reason you’re getting that message.

..or just try kicking it!
Have you recently made any changes to your system’s configuration before this happened, such has: hibernation settings, power schemes, or enabled/disabled any services?
Also, have you installed any new hardware recently?
From your screen captures and description, it sound like you have one of these problems:
1. There is a problem with your motherboard.
2. The ACPI driver is corrupt.
3. You have a boot sector virus.
The very first thing you should do would be to perform a complete virus/malware scan. If you don’t have virus protection, use this free online virus/malware scanner: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If you still get the error after the virus scan, I would try would be to disable ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) in the BIOS.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
I know of only one good solution.

How can a burger help?? The guy needs help not anything to eat!!
I’m no technician of any sort so I just scan my computer or do a system restore. I haven’t had that screen reappear since
.
