We notice it a lot around here too. People tend to get paid at the end of the last week of the month, so by the time the penultimate week of the next month rolls around, they have no money left. It starts to settle down in the run up to Christmas as well, as you'd expect, so it's statistically the quietest weekend of the year, probably. Or maybe I just made that up. I don't ever go out Friday's though because I have to start work at 8:30 am every Saturday. But I vaguely remember getting home from a mates 21st last Saturday... and the next like... 5 weekends are completely booked out. Crazy time of year. Uni is all over now too... so in Australia expect that most pubs will be packed out. Ed on Tuesday, HQ on Wednesday, Havey then Marble on Thursday, anywhere Friday, anywhere Saturday, The Grand on Sunday (if you can get in... massive lines) otherwise the Ox.
