And thanks for reminding me to get to work on XMas posts myself! As much as I sincerely love blogging, it would probably do me some good to “get away from things” for a bit and just spend time with the folks.

Besides, none of my relatives would look fondly on me running away from family events because I do something “as strange as posting” (#);D

I think it’s because… it’s far easier to be curious by a graphic rather than a text link.

I agree, and that’s why I decided to use my “Ben at Big Ben” photo with no text whatsoever. I could have made a graphic with “blogging and website tips without the jargon” on it, but that just seems a bit obvious and not all that interesting.

I’d go one step further and say that Entrecard could spell the end of the mile-long blogroll. I’m all for linking to a few good blogs, but it’s hard to keep the links fresh without removing the good ones or having a really long list. Neither is ideal. Entrecard allows us to have a regular cycle of links without taking over your blogroll or becoming a maintenance nightmare. (although I am hoping for easier ways to see who recently dropped a card on your blog, for instance)
