It’s hard to believe that in little over a week, Christmas 2007 will be over. I’m not feeling too Christmassy at the moment, probably because we haven’t broken up for Christmas yet. My Christmas shopping is done, but is yours? Here’s three things I’d love to find underneath the Christmas Tree.
1. A DVD Player
Since moving my computer downstairs, I have been without a DVD Player, using my brother’s to watch my vast collection of pornographic films. The Wii, in all it’s brilliance, doesn’t have a DVD player in it, and sometimes I just miss snuggling down with a film for a few hours. There’s nothing better for a sunday afternoon, in my opinion.
Included with this present I’d also like the entire James Bond Collection.
2. A Book on Blogging
Every year for the last two years there has been a “Blogging Digest Book”: that is a book with some of the year’s best posts within it. 2 years ago was the excellent 2005: Blogged

All I want this Christmas is a new(er) car. Something that isn’t a pile of shit..optional extras include Jonny Wilkinson in the passengger seat.
Failing that I quite fancy getting a pet llama although I think both those presents are going to have a hard time fitting under out tiny little tree.
I still have a few gifts to get and I keep forgetting. Hearing you say it’s the 20th made me crap myself as it’s getting so close.
I’ve written an ebook on blogging, which I’ve had some good feedback for. You don’t really need it (it’s mainly about writing skills for bloggers), but you’re welcome to a copy if you want one.
I’ve written a real book, too: it’s good for the fame, glamour and offers of anonymous sex from beautiful strangers, but working with an editor is a nightmare. Mine took out all my gags and chopped and changed without any regard to trivial things like spelling, grammar and punctuation. So now everyone who reads it thinks I’m a copywriter who can’t write.
Kelly’s with me at the moment. As soon as she gets out of bed she’s on topless housework duty, but when she’s finished that (and fixed my lunch, and scraped the ice off my car) I’ll send her over.
“It has always been my dream to get a book published, and - I’ll be honest - I saw these as an easy way to do it. However, there has been not one sniff of one this year. Shame really, as I’d have like to be in one, and then buy it for all eternity to keep.”
Unfortunately, they didn’t sell very well, either of them. Thus no more are being done.
I did do another book this year, as a publisher asked me to, but I don’t think it’s going to get released: nor paid for, unfortunately.
I think I’m getting banjo lessons for christmas, which is all I really want. But if someone said “here’s Kelly” instead, I’d take her and not complain…
