The usual comments. ;) I don't really have an opinion on it, except that it creates a festive mood everywhere, and it really is nice in the middle of winter. :)

A dinosaur? If it's what I think it is, that's March 14th (google "Steak March 14th" to see what I'm talking about).

Valentine Day has definitely become highly commercialized. Everything is so expensive. All dinner joints, pubs, discs are over packed with people all over. I guess for me all days when I am with my spouse is Valentines Day for me. In todays fast life one hardly gets time for romance and togetherness. So all time and all days spent with my loved ones is Valentines Day for me.

I'm indifferent to V-day. My finance tells me that he loves me every day and that's great - truly I don't need anything. That said, he did surprise me with a lovely spa gift cert :)
As for a gift for him, he made a specific request that's kind of, well, personal. It's not something I can buy in a store anyway.

Then there is that 1-800-Flowers guy with the Snuffalupagus voice. I bet he loves Valentine's Day, and hates 1-800 Pro Flowers.

I don't have a problem with Valentine's day. Although I never actually know that it IS Valentine's day until the day itself has arrived. But I have never had a Valentine on the day, so I've never really had to worry about it.

Although recently I have been starting to see a girl, and that is only within the past fortnight - I still didn't get her anything for Valentine's day. I saw her, we played and had fun, but meh... too soon.

5 Valentines cards for £1?

I know that's cheap, but isn't it also rather promiscuous?
