Yeah, I have no answers for you. By shin pads, do you mean shin guards for football(soccer)? I just always threw mine in the washing machine to get out the funk.

In Google Reader, click on the feed, go to “Feed Settings”, and you’ll get an option about renaming the feed. As for forums, contests tend to be nice, such as a “most posts” contest, a referral contest, etc. Good luck!

ah, the things in Firefox – non-ASCII characters. I just clicked the image you posted and spotted it; they’re the hexadecimal representations of characters (e.g. Japanese symbols) that your current charset is unable to render.

1. Telegraphing – sorry Rhys, you’ve got it the wrong way around! It’s not a case of being able to predict, it’s a case of being easily predicted by your opponent.

Telegraphing is, in a nutshell, giving away your intentions with an easily-read physical cue. For example, I was no good at rugby in school because I always seemed to rotate my shoulders through about 25 degress before playing a pass… intercepted nearly every time

A good example of how to avoid telegraphing is to watch a good seam bowler in cricket; they tend to use their non-bowling hand to cover the ball until the last possible moment. This covers both the seam and to an extent the fingers on the bowling hand, making the delivery much harder to read.
