Happy News!

I did tell you I had some happy news, didn’t I?

Well, the happy news is simple. At 7:45pm tonight, the football season kicks off again with me, with Colwyn Bay entertaining League of Wales outfit TNS. Hooo-fucking-ray!

It seems like this post-pre season is very, very short, but nevertheless I’m happy that once again there’s  football at one of my favourite places in the world. Seriously. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t considered being buried there.

This year though, there are two main differences to last year. One of which explains my drop in posting here.

Season Ticket Holder - Yes, I am now having to show up at the games with a little ticket, adn I get in free. I’d probably be able to get in free anyway, on the account I know the people on the door. But it does save me money in the long run, and I have more beer. I’m also an official “Colwyn Bay FC Fan”, which entitles us to a discounted bar. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have bothered.

Programme Editor (one of) – This is the big one, and the one I am most excited over. You see, myself and two of my compadres have become the official editors of the Colwyn Bay FC programme. So, if you are ever in the area, you can actually buy something that I helped write. It’s awesome!

I cannot say how excited I am before the first programme. I’ve previewed a few bits and we’ve desperately tried to make it a more fun, less serious and diverse programme than last year’s excellent tome (a sentance that will either make fans cheer, or fill them with dread). However, unofficially, I have achieved my dream set out with this blog. I’ve become a good enough writer to get my work published.

Okay, it’s not a magazine, newspaper interview or a book, but people will have to pay to recieve some of my scriptures. That makes me happy no end, and should I die tomorrow, I die happy.

What are your dreams? Have you achieved them yet?

    Nope, not yet anyway.

Congratulations on becoming programme editor…and season ticket holder. :)

  2. Han says:

I bet I wont have to pay, I’ll probably win it in a competition!

  3. Jon says:

    Congratulations!!

One of the many reasons I started blogging again was to eventually get my work published in some way. I don’t ever see myself writing a novel but I’m hoping that one day my name will be on the front of a tech book sold by Amazon!

    Congratulations.

Crap. Outgoing housemate questioned my choice of career ("SEO? I HATE THEM!"). Defended myself but now running late for eye test. Not happy. [rhyswynne]
