The Ryder Cup is different, because there is the whole "us vs. them" mentality involved, so there is that to consider. There are a couple tournaments where the crowds are known to get a little rowdier than normal, but they're usually fairly well behaved. By the way - its a bit early here still and I seem to still be a little drunk from last night, so if this is more rambling than it appears to me at the moment - that's why.
