The Credit Squeeze

Yes! It’s a week until Christmas, and to come with Christmas, I need a new outfit to wow people in the Pen-Y-Bryn, over the Christmas period. This generally means tramping around clothes shops, looking for clothes that both suit me and are reasonable. Which kinda limits me to certain shops before others.

Now, having my mothers hips and a hippo’s appetite, I’m a 39″ waist. Which means I need 40″ trousers. Yeah, I’m planning on losing a bit of weight in the new year (more on that soon as to how and why), but for this Christmas, it won’t do, so larger jeans are a must.

However, try as I might through my usual haunts, I couldn’t find a pair of jeans that would fit me. Most got as loose as 38″ waist. Of course, 6 months ago, I could find jeans in my size in any major mans clothing shop.

Are clothing companies, in a bid to save money, are cutting out bigger sizes?

Thoughts?

My brother requires a big waist and long legs, and when I was trying to help him find trousers 6-8 months ago I couldn’t find any, so I don’t think it’s a recent thing.

Yes, there is defintely a conspiracy against people who need bigger sizes. The large hardly fits around my arm. Sizeist!!!

Meanwhile, I have mailed your christmas card. With any luck you will get in the second week of January.

    Merry Christmas, Rhys!

If you have a big waist, you must have 46″ legs.

Equally if you have small waist, your legs can’t be any longer than 20″

And if you have a big wasit & long legs like myself, then you’re screwed…..
