I, too, have noticed a slacking off of blogger updates, but most of the blogs I read aren't in it for the money. I think people are busier these days, that the rest of their lives takes more effort and concentration than in the recent past, which leaves less time for sitting around writing. And of course, there is the instant gratification that is FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter - easier to see and faster to respond than indepth articles on a blog. I do have a FB account, but I refuse to Twitter. Just what I need - another thing to keep me at the computer when there are so many other things I ought to be doing instead!
