Mancseo Mini Conference Preview

No rest for the wicked!

After two weeks of some amazing traveling, tales & scenery, the journey never stops, as this Friday is the Manchester SEO Mini Conference. Since my move to Manchester I’ve been to all but one of these events, and went to two before going to Manchester in the first place. I go for good reason: I meet some great minds in the world of search, and the chats are informal yet at times insightful. Plus it is a great excuse for a pissup.

This Friday however a more serious meetup will be happening – the mancseo mini conference. Overwhelmingly decided by visitors to the Manchester SEO site that a free conference is a great idea, so this Friday there’ll be some great speakers & talks:-

  • Nichola Stott – The Business of Search: An Insider Perspective on the Search Engine Business and How This Shapes Our Approach
  • Barry Adams – Optimising for Google News
  • Kevin Newman – The psychology of successful link building
  • Neil Walker – Forecasting for SEO

Tickets have been sold out twice over – and people are coming out from over the country (including guest blogger Dean Cruddace from a couple of weeks back – “Kill Your Blog Spammers Cat“), and I’m most looking forward to meeting & networking at this event (sponsored by Manual Link Building – my employers) & the after party (sponsored by theEword).

I will be providing a roundup of this event next week, and if you follow the #mancseo hashtag on twitter – then you can attend virtually.

There’s another meetup happening this week that you are able to attend – the South Manchester Tweetup. It’s this Wednesday in The Didsbury in Manchester. You can view the event on Eventbrite & book your place (which is only designed to get numbers).

Let me know if you’re attending either one of the events in the comments!
